Default Text Align – Left Align

This is a paragraph. It is left aligned. Because of this, it is a bit more liberal in it’s views. It’s favorite color is green. Left align tends to be more eco-friendly, but it provides no concrete evidence that it really is. Even though it likes share the wealth evenly, it leaves the equal distribution up to justified alignment.

Center Align

This is a paragraph. It is center aligned. Center is, but nature, a fence sitter. A flip flopper. It has a difficult time making up its mind. It wants to pick a side. Really, it does. It has the best intentions, but it tends to complicate matters more than help. The best you can do is try to win it over and hope for the best. I hear center align does take bribes.

Right Align

This is a paragraph. It is right aligned. It is a bit more conservative in it’s views. It’s prefers to not be told what to do or how to do it. Right align totally owns a slew of guns and loves to head to the range for some practice. Which is cool and all. I mean, it’s a pretty good shot from at least four or five football fields away. Dead on. So boss.

Dropcap & Custom Letter Spacing

This is a paragraph. It has a dropcap in the beginning and more spaced out letters.. Because of this, it is a bit more liberal in it’s views. It’s favorite color is green. Spaced letters tends to be more eco-friendly, but it provides no concrete evidence that it really is. Even though it likes share the wealth evenly, it leaves the equal distribution up to justified alignment. Which is cool and all. It likes everything to be in it’s place and not all cattywampus like the rest of the aligns. I am not saying that makes it better than the rest of the aligns, but it does tend to put off more of an elitist attitude.

Footnotes, Strike outs, Inline Images and Highlights

Lets do something different and add a footnote to this right about here 1. We are not done yet. Lets add another footnote here 2 and then call it a day.

Now lets try some inline formatting. Like this strike out text which almost seems like an afterthought.3 On the other hand, we have this highlighted text which wants to stand out on its own!

Here are the Footnotes that can be added at the end of your post:
  1. The first footnote that didn’t make it to the original text ↩︎
  2. Yet another footnote which wanted to play ↩︎
  3. Why we struck out this line is the reason to ponder ↩︎

Oh, and we almost forgot about the inline images we promised. So here we go. A cute turtle to bring you luck March On!!

HR Dividers

A simple default Divider Block, followed by the Dotted style and the Wide Line style. We even add the 3 styles with a custom color of your choice to add that little pazzaz.

Quotes & Verses

Single line blockquote:

Stay hungry. Stay foolish.

Multi line blockquote:

People think focus means saying yes to the thing you’ve got to focus on. But that’s not what it means at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas that there are. You have to pick carefully. I’m actually as proud of the things we haven’t done as the things I have done. Innovation is saying no to 1,000 things.

Now lets customize it with our own colors, and apply some custom padding while we are at it.

Now lets do the same stuff, but how about we use a Pullquote block instead!

Stay hungry. Stay foolish.

Steve Jobs

And lets not forget the humble Verse Block. Lets even add some font size to it:

People think focus means saying yes to the thing you’ve got to focus on. But that’s not what it means at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas that there are.

Multi line Pullquote with a cite reference and a link:

People think focus means saying yes to the thing you’ve got to focus on. But that’s not what it means at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas that there are. You have to pick carefully. I’m actually as proud of the things we haven’t done as the things I have done. Innovation is saying no to 1,000 things.

Steve Jobs – Apple Worldwide Developers’ Conference, 1997

And before we wrap this section up, here we have a Verse again with Custom Colors and Padding!

Did this seem too retro? Or maybe blocks is just not your thing. How about a bit of a striped approach. It keeps the content easy to read, but also gives it a cool new twist.
